My information Graphic Mapping Project is based off the information from my flight records over the last four years of my long distance relationship with my fiance. He lives in Texas and I live in Pennsylvania so I want to use a map of the United States incorporated with wayfinding signs from airports. I want to focus on the time elapsed from the day he left after graduation of high school to graduation of college. I also want to display the information in some form of flight ticket packaging.
After viewing all data.. i have concluded that we have spent only 5% of our time together physically.
I think you have a chance to really make an emotional connection with your audience because of the idea of romance. I think if you incorporate some data on emotions, that that would make a connection. Also the good and the bad, how does a long distance relationship enhance the bond, or hinder it at times. But also include the technical data, I think you can combine it in layers. I like the way finding influence, that may be interesting to display your data, using graphic illustrations.
ReplyDeleteFrom sitting next to you in class i have a good idea of what your project is about and i think that you are going to really get emotion out of your audience so i think you should play off of this and go with it. Because you only spend 5% of your time together i think you should compare this to how much time u spend doing other things like school.
