My information Graphic Mapping Project is based off the information from my flight records over the last four years of my long distance relationship with my fiance.--
From the color article I took the advice of using bright, stand out colors on a dull, plain back ground sparingly.  I am using bright orange and blue to represent the two of us as a comparison.  As a narrative, I am incorporating multiple aspects.  Along with time, I am showing distance. I drew a lot of inspiration from many of the diagrams in the Narrative article.

My information Graphic Mapping Project is based off the information from my flight records over the last four years of my long distance relationship with my fiance.  He lives in Texas and I live in Pennsylvania so I want to use a map of the United States incorporated with wayfinding signs from airports.  I want to focus on the time elapsed from the day he left after graduation of high school to graduation of college.  I also want to display the information in some form of flight ticket packaging.
After viewing all data.. i have concluded that we have spent only 5% of our time together physically.

Assignment 1

After sifting through all the information, charts and numbers, I have created a graphic focusing on the number of fatal vehicle accidents throughout the time of the day.  I analyzed numbers from the year 2009 as it was the most recent information available.  The information portrayed will give the reader a great idea of what times of the day are safest to travel and which times of day one must be most cautious when traveling.
The information is set up in 3 hour intervals beginning at 12:00am through 11:59pm.  For each interval, the number of fatalities that took place during that time was given for each day of the week.  I totaled the number of fatalities of the week for each time interval.  I chose to represent the total number of fatal vehicle accidents in a week from 12:00am to 2:59am, 3:00am to 5:59am, 6:00am to 8:59am, 9:00am to 11:59am, 12:00pm to 2:59pm, 3:00pm to 5:59pm, 6:00pm to 8:59pm, and 9:00pm to 11:59pm.
I created a bar graph for each of the time intervals to ensure the correct ratio between the bars.  I color coded the bars in a gradient of blues from dark, to light, and dark again.  These color choices helps enforce the theme of the time of day.  I arranged the bars in a vertical stack so they would be seen as a continuous time (the span of one full day).  I created the graphic in a way that it could be presented as a bleed on the edge of an article.
